The Mark Twain Branch Library moved briefly from Hartford Public High School to the newly renovated West Middle School in 2016, following a plan that began more than five years before.

Unfortunately this coincided with the Library’s reduction of the number of branches, and Mark Twain was one of those that closed.

Now in 2018, the Hartford Public Library is beginning to find uses for this space. They have begun a FREE Saturday Adult Learning Academy in the site. From 10:00 am to 12:00 pm they will be offering a Beginner Spanish Class, a Beginner Citizenship Class and a Beginner Computer Class Registration is on-site, enter the building from the main entrance on Asylum Ave.
